Đalović arrived in Maribor, then refused to sign a contract, but there is still a chance to take over the "purple" team

Everything was agreed, only official confirmation was awaited, and then upon arriving in Maribor, Radomir Đalović decided not to sign a contract with the most trophy-winning club in Slovenia.

The reason? According to the "Ekipa" portal, the last-minute turnaround occurred because one of the parties involved allegedly changed the already agreed terms of the contract.

"The deal has fallen through. At least for now. As we have managed to find out, another round of negotiations is expected on Tuesday," the aforementioned media outlet writes.

They also tried to get a comment from Çem Başgul, Maribor's head of football operations, but the Turkish official told them that he did not want to talk about current events surrounding the new coach.

If an agreement is reached in the end, however, Đalović will be Maribor's third coach since the beginning of the season, after Tugberk Tanrivermiš was fired after only 49 days, and was succeeded by Radomir Karanović, who led Maribor for two games as a temporary solution.

Our expert would arrive after Maribor was defeated in the biggest derby against Olimpija and at a time when the team, which has not won a single trophy since 2022, is ten points behind leader Celje.

In his first coaching season, Đalović led Rijeka to a double crown and a place in the group stage of the Conference League, but was fired by the club from Rujevica last week.
