Igor Burzanović is no longer the coach of third-league team Zabjelo.
The former Montenegrin national team player, probably the last big ten of Buducnost, parted ways with the "Republicans" after a poor start to the season in the Senior League of the FSCG Club Association - South.
Last season, Zabjelo was one step away from the Second League, losing to Internacional on penalties in the play-off final, and things haven't started so well this season.
"Boss, comrade, comrade, one of us. Burzo Maradona leaves our bench today. With mutual regret in our hearts but also the belief that it is for the best, a joint decision was made that did not come easily to any of us," the club said in a statement.
The farewell is quite emotional...
"So many meaningful moments we shared over the past year, both joyful and difficult, marked a collaboration that was more like a friendship. And that's why we will never forget it," the club's announcement added, concluding:
"Burzo, thank you for everything you have done for Zabjelo and we wish you all the best in your future work."
