Football Montenegro: Šćekić and Savicevic hid the Supreme Court verdict

The NGO Football Montenegro announced that an unprecedented scandal has been recorded, orchestrated by the current Minister of Sports Dragoslav Šćekić and, as they say, the fake president of the Football Association of Montenegro, Dejan Savićević.

"After disobeying the decision of the Administrative Court, they also managed to hide the Supreme Court's ruling UVP. No. 998/22 of March 12, 2024, and they are not respecting the Supreme Court's decision and not informing the public, even though Minister Šćekić publicly said that when the Supreme Court decides, the ruling will be respected," they say from this NGO.

"We ask the Minister of Sports why he is doing this (even though we know) and let him come out and inform the public. After the sports collapse and the destruction of our football for decades, the creation of a classic political (not football) federation where one mind rules, where all decisions are made unanimously and where one uneducated individual terrorizes all of our football, where we have one of the worst leagues in Europe (we also have San Marino and Andorra), where this individual rewards people whose club received one of the biggest fines ever from UEFA for match-fixing with a place on the executive board, fines that not only disgrace football in Montenegro but also the state of Montenegro, where there is no VAR, where it is not known what the budget is, where the infrastructure is the worst in Europe, where this individual brings in coaches at his own request, and here we have disrespect for the state of Montenegro for the umpteenth time.

We ask President Milatović what was his motivation when he awarded such a person an award, was it because he ruined football in Montenegro or maybe because the person was arrested for drunk driving or maybe because he disrespected the decisions of inspection bodies or maybe because he disrespected the decision of the Administrative Court, and possibly because he disrespected the Supreme Court of Montenegro?

Football Montenegro demands an immediate reaction and response! We also demand the immediate dismissal of the Minister of Sports and the alleged president of the Football Association. We demand an answer from the Prime Minister as to why all this is being allowed and what this is leading to. You want to be in the EU, you want the rule of law, you want respect for institutions, so explain to us what this is supposed to mean?

Football Montenegro has long recognized itself and has been permanently warning the public about where this individual is leading football in Montenegro, and this decision of the Supreme Court is only a confirmation that we were right and that the so-called Football Association leadership is illegitimate and that it is performing its functions outside the law and lining its pockets with those close to it, all of whom are embedded in infrastructure facilities that are today in the hands of SDT and under suspicion of major corruption and job placement for people close to them who have become millionaires, all from the money sent by FIFA and UEFA to help the infrastructure and all the factors of the football community!

"Football Montenegro once again demands an urgent response from the authorities and the immediate dismissal of the Minister of Sports Šćekić and the removal of the entire leadership of the illegal Football Association," the statement reads.
