Montenegrin midfielder Marko Janković will be out of action for at least six weeks, Azerbaijani media reported.
Our national team player played an important role in Qarabag's sensational victory at "La Luz" in the Champions League, but in the 77th minute, visiting coach Gurban Gurbanov had to make a forced substitution.
Three minutes earlier, the referee stopped the game so that Janković could be treated, but medical tests showed that the injury was more serious than initially predicted.
Janković will therefore miss the Montenegrin national team's matches in October against the Faroe Islands in World Cup qualifiers, as well as a friendly with Liechtenstein.
He will also miss at least two of Qarabag's Champions League matches, in Baku against FC Copenhagen and in Bilbao.
