The coach of the youth football team, Goran Perišić, has announced the list of players for the continuation of the European Championship qualifications.
Montenegro will play Poland in Katowice (October 10) and then host North Macedonia in Tuzi (October 14). The "Falcons" have one win and one loss after two rounds. At the start of the qualifiers, they lost to Italy away (2:1) after a turnaround, and then they defeated Sweden in Podgorica (2:0).
"Poland is certainly one of the favorites in this group, they showed it in the first two games, when they beat North Macedonia and Armenia. They play very offensively, they always go high, they are fast and physically strong. All of this indicates that we are in for an extremely difficult game. But, we are going to outdo each other, to try to get the best possible result. We showed in the duels with Italy and Sweden that we have quality," coach Perišić told the Federation's website.
Compared to the start of the qualifiers, the "falcons" will be stronger this time for midfielder Andrija Bulatović. However, some players have been reassigned to the A team of our national team.
"Viktor Đukanović, Marko Perović and Andrej Kostić will be with the A selection and will not play against Poland and North Macedonia. Of course, that makes us proud, because it is an indicator of our good work in the previous period. At the same time, it should be a motivation for the guys who are here to continue working hard, because they have potential. That is why I believe that they will show their quality in the matches ahead of us," Perišić emphasized.
