"Falcons" have a win and a loss after two rounds. They defeated Sweden in Podgorica, while the defeat in Italy came after a turnaround for the home team. Now they will play Poland away in Katowice (October 10), then a match with North Macedonia in Tuzi (October 14).
- Poland is certainly one of the favorites in this group, they showed it in the first two games, when they beat North Macedonia and Armenia. They play very offensively, they always go high, they are fast and physically strong. All this indicates that we are in for an extremely difficult game. But, we are going to compete, to try to get the best possible result. We showed in the duels with Italy and Sweden that we have quality, said Perišić.
In relation to the start of the qualifiers, the team will be reinforced by midfielder Andrija Bulatović, who cannot be in Mirko Vučiić's team due to a yellow card. Bodin Tomašević is back in the team, but three of Perišić's important players have been reassigned to the A selection.
- Viktor Đukanović, Marko Perović and Andrej Kostić will be with the A selection and will not play against Poland and North Macedonia. Of course, that makes us proud, because it is an indicator of our good work in the previous period. At the same time, it should be a motivation for the guys who are here to continue working hard, because they have potential. That is why I believe that they will show their quality in the matches that lie ahead, Perišić emphasized.
