Story number two of Milija Savović and Sutjeska will not be as successful as the first - the expert who led the Nikšić club to its last title in 2022 is no longer the coach of the "blue and whites".
Sutjeska announced the decision to terminate cooperation on social networks.
"The board of directors of FK Sutjeska has decided that Milija Savović is no longer the coach of the first team as of tonight. The decision was made after a series of unsatisfactory results and games," the club announced.
Sutjeska was until recently the leader of the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League, but after losses to Mornar and Buducnost, they slipped to third place and are currently three points behind first-placed Dečić.
During the summer, Sutjeska managed to get past Dinamo Brest in the Conference League qualifiers, but was eliminated by Beitar Jerusalem in the next round.
The club announced that the team will be led by the current first assistant Dejan Jelenić for the remainder of the championship.
"FK Sutjeska thanks Milija Savović for his fair cooperation and engagement, and wishes him good luck and success in the continuation of his coaching career," the club added.
