The Montenegrin youth football team was defeated in the second friendly match by North Macedonia 4:2.
The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute through Emir Šabotic, and midway through the second half, four goals were scored in just nine minutes. Goals for Montenegro were scored by Jagoš Roganović and Novak Fatić, while Gorazd Ristovski and Admir Ljafiti were accurate on the other side. The final score was set by Ljafiti in the 82nd minute.
"We started the game well, had some chances and good situations, and had more possession of the ball. However, our reactions to the lost ball cost us dearly, and our concentration was not at an adequate level. The opponent took advantage of their chances, while we did not. However, we saw positive things in this two-legged match, especially when it comes to the players accepting the coaching staff's ideas. We could not count on six first-team players, so I hope that with their return in the qualifiers, the level of play will be even higher. The most important thing is that the boys have more playing time in their clubs and thus be ready for the qualifiers," said coach Nenad Vukčević for the Association's website.
