Montenegro struggled against Liechtenstein, losing until about twenty minutes before the end, and then somehow, by force and after several serious chances, found a way to triumph - defeating the underdogs under Gorica 2:1.
Mirko Vučinić's first triumph on the bench of the "Falcons" will be remembered, but it would be remembered much more if it had not happened. Which could have very easily happened...
Because, for almost 70 minutes, Montenegro had neither the energy nor the idea of how to find a way to the net of the second weakest team in Europe (San Marino is 210th in the FIFA rankings) and a team that had a nine-game losing streak until this match.

Andrej Kostić brought some liveliness, and in the 74th minute he shot before Milutin Osmajić put the rebound into the net.
