The Board of Directors (BOD) of the Sutjeska football club has spoken out after an incident involving fans of this club - "Vojvoda".

On Saturday, before the start of the second half of the Second League match between Internacional and Berane in Nikšić, Sutjeska fans invaded the pitch and attacked Berane fans.

The Police Directorate said in a statement on Saturday that four people were injured, while yesterday it was announced that seven people had been arrested due to this incident, and the responsibility of the responsible persons of FK Sutjeska is being determined "in relation to hiding fans in the premises of this club as well as in relation to enabling these persons to bring illegal objects into the stadium area."

Sutjeska said in a statement today that the people who caused the incident did not leave the club's official premises, "but rather from an undeveloped room (in the grey phase) located at the City Stadium". As they stated, "this room has previously been occasionally used by fans to make and paint banners, flags and prepare choreographies."

Sutjeska added that all "responsible persons from the club, if it is determined that their actions helped or enabled the incident, will be sanctioned in accordance with club and legal regulations."

They also said that they would "provide full support to the competent authorities in identifying, prosecuting and punishing all perpetrators of this incident."

The announcement of the Sutjeska Board of Directors is transmitted in its entirety:

"The Sutjeska-Nikšić Football Club strongly condemns the incident that occurred on October 25, 2025, at the Second League match of Montenegro between FK Internacional and FK Berane, on the auxiliary field of FK Sutjeska-Nikšić in Nikšić, in which a group of persons allegedly belonging to our club, the popular "Vojvoda", participated.

Violence, inappropriate behavior and any kind of threat to safety and the sporting environment are absolutely unacceptable and the Management of FK Sutjeska-Nikšić clearly expresses its commitment and full dedication to healing and protecting the reputation of our club and city.

FK Sutjeska expresses its deep regret for the disruption of public order, the injuries sustained by citizens and police officers, as well as for the scenes that are unbecoming of sporting events.

We would like to emphasize clearly and unequivocally that the Sutjeska-Nikšić Football Club had nothing to do with the organization, preparations, or knowledge that the incident that occurred at the aforementioned match was being prepared. The club completely distances itself from all individuals who caused the riots and we emphasize that their behavior does not represent the values and principles promoted by our club.

Regarding the allegations of hiding, we would like to clarify that the persons who caused the incident did not leave the official premises of FK Sutjeska, but rather an undeveloped room (in the grey phase) located at the City Stadium. This room has previously been occasionally used by fans to make and paint banners, flags and prepare choreographies. However, we fully support the work of the competent authorities in establishing all the facts, including the issue of the responsibility of the persons who may have provided access to that room.

We strongly distance ourselves from all negative phenomena, regardless of where they come from, on the field or in the stands, and individuals and groups whose actions violate the integrity of the competition, spread hate speech, violence and intolerance, are not and will never be true fans of Sutjeska. On the contrary, we express our complete rejection and do not want to have anything to do with them.

We hereby inform the Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG), as well as the entire Montenegrin public, that FK Sutjeska will provide full support to the competent authorities in identifying, prosecuting and punishing all perpetrators of this incident. All responsible persons from the club, if it is determined that they have assisted or enabled the incident with their actions, will be sanctioned in accordance with club and legal regulations.

Our commitment is exclusively to sporting results, fair play, and creating a positive and healthy atmosphere.

FK Sutjeska will take all necessary internal measures and actions in accordance with its statutory powers, and will support any legal sanctions against those whose actions have damaged the reputation of the club and Montenegrin football.

"We invite all fans and true supporters of Sutjeska to continue to cheer for their club in a dignified, cultural and sporting manner, as befits both the club and the city," said the Sutjeska Board of Directors.
