Montenegro received an eight from the Turks

It's a friendly match, but the result is "eye-popping", especially when experienced by players who are still growing up.

The Montenegrin pioneer national team lost today in Podgorica, at the FK Budućnost Camp, 8:1 to Turkey.

The only goal for our team was scored by Aleksandar Jovanović in the 43rd minute, when the score was reduced to 1:2 and when it seemed that Vladan Savić's men could do better.

However, the Turks were ruthless in the second half - the score was 1:3, and in the second half five more goals were scored in our net.

The goals for Turkey were scored by these boys: Ayaz Ozbut and Necat Dou (two each), as well as River Gezer, Deniz Demirciu, Enes Bozabali and Arman Lortolu.

"It is understandable that this is the first game in front of our audience and that there was a little nervousness, but when you enter a game with a great deal of timidity and insecurity, and you have a very serious opponent in front of you, then it is difficult to achieve a certain game, let alone a result. Turkey is far ahead of us, both in the technical and tactical, as well as the physical segment. They showed everything that we lack and, unfortunately, this is our current reality and the only thing left for us to do is to raise our capabilities to a higher level through serious work and dedication. I hope that we will manage to recover for the next game and in that way play at least a little better than was the case today," said coach Vladan Savić.

The same rivals will play a second friendly match on Thursday at 15 pm.
