Two matches of the 14th round will be played today in the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League, and the round will be completed tomorrow when three more matches are scheduled.
The round opens today (14) in Kotor with Bokelj SBBet and Sutjeska, while Mornar and Jedinstvo Franca play in Bar from 16:30 p.m.
Sutjeska is on a three-game winning streak in all competitions, all three achieved under new coach Dejan Jelenić, and is in first place with a point ahead of Mornar, three points ahead of Dečić, and four ahead of Buducnost, with a match ahead of the team from Tuzi and the current champion.
"We are leaders and we have to behave as such - in terms of responsibility, dedication and fulfilling the tactical tasks that the players will receive. As for Bokelj - since the change of coach, they have started to play better. It is certainly a team that has quality in attack, especially in offensive transition," said Jelenić in the match announcement.
The Sutjeska coach addressed the personnel problems.
"Radoš Dedić will not play against Bokelj, so we only have one defender, Bojan Damjanović, and we will have to improvise something. One or two players will not play in their natural positions, which will bring a risk of mistakes. But I think the players will do everything they can to do what is asked of them and that in the end we will look forward to the victory," said Jelenić.
Mornar is in great form, and will host Jedinstvo from Bijelo Polje at "Topolica". Barani are unbeaten in eight consecutive matches, and their last defeat was at the end of August, against today's rival. Vesko Stešević's team has won its last four matches and has taken second place in the standings.
"We have a very important and difficult match ahead of us. Matches that most people think have already been won are usually the most difficult. I've said from the beginning that this team can do a lot, it just takes time for some players to get ready and recover. Unfortunately, we've had a lot of bad luck with injuries, but despite that, we've gained momentum and a good rhythm," said Baran player Stefan Denković.
Denković has scored four goals this season.
"I'm glad I can help the team with goals, even though it took me some time to get ready and get in shape after missing training. The results have matched my improvement in form and I'm very happy about that. We're going from game to game. Our goal is Europe, and whatever comes our way beyond that — we'll try to embrace it," said Denković.
On Sunday, the following matches are scheduled: Jezero - Arsenal, Petrovac - Dečić and Budućnost - Mladost Lob.Bet, and all three matches will start at 15 pm.
