There are still five rounds left until the end of the first part of the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League, and the first is scheduled today, followed by a 14-day break due to the national team's obligations in the World Cup qualifiers.
The most interesting part of this week was under Gorica, where Buducnost coach Dejan Vukicevic made an unprecedented mid-season cut. The head of the biggest Montenegrin club crossed out Petar Grbic, Igor Ivanovic, Adnan Orahovac, Luka Mirkovic, Vladan Adzic, as well as foreigners Lionel Strumija, Dragan Trninic, Sadok Kadida and Nedeljko Piscevic.
What effect this will have on the team - at least four of them had considerable playing time - and how it will affect the results by the end of the year, could be seen today in Bijelo Polje.
The Podgorica team is visiting a stadium where they have never lost in independent Montenegro, where they have won seven times in a row, and they are facing a team that has not won since September 21st (seven matches, including the Cup).

- We see what the weather is like, we know that the pitch in Bijelo Polje will not be in ideal condition, but that cannot be, nor will it be an alibi. I am only saying this because in such a situation, running and desire can prevail. Therefore, we have to be aware of that from the start and go out to warm up with that desire. We want three points, we don't hide it, but we have a good opponent against us and we have to do our best to take the victory - said 17-year-old midfielder of Budućnost Lazar Savović.
Buducnost has already slipped this season against Jedinstvo - 1:1 under Gorica...
- Jedinstvo has quality, we got to know them well in our home match, now they are playing at home and will do everything to achieve a good result. However, we know very well what we want and how we can achieve victory - we need to have a huge desire, as well as be in a racing mood. We trained well, so we need to transfer the things from training to the field - said Savović.
Buducnost is only sixth and wants to catch up with the leaders - they are seven points behind the leader, Sutjeska, but also a match behind Nikšić. Mornar is in second place with six points and a game more, Dečić is in third place with 21 points...
- The only thing we are interested in in Bijelo Polje is three points and we want to win them - added Savović.
Filipa Domazetović and Andrej Camaj are injured, while Lazar Mijović has a booking - so Vukićević is also in trouble with the remaining, younger players, at least today.
And Sutjeska wants to keep the top spot before the break. Led by Andrija Ražnatović, who scored a hat-trick, the team from Nikšić defeated Bokelj SBBet in Kotor (5:4) in a goalless draw last Saturday, and today they (14), also on the coast, but in Tivat, expect a new match - against Arsenal.
- We will play in playing conditions that will be quite similar to those in Kotor in the previous round, we just have to adapt to those conditions as soon as possible. We must not allow ourselves to make the mistakes we made against Bokelj. We had a very good microcycle, the guys worked well after the personnel problems. We expect a difficult game, on a difficult field. I hope that this match will show our tactical discipline - said Sutjeska coach Dejan Jelenić.
Sutjeska defeated Arsenal at home (2:0) in the first round, and now, says Jelenić, a completely different match awaits them.
Mornar is in the best form in the championship. Barani are nine games without a defeat, winning the last five, and today they will play against last-placed Bokelj at “Topolica”. If Sutjeska does not win in Tivat, Vesko Stešević's team will attack the leading position.
Dečić will play against Jezero in Tuzi, while Mladost Lob.Bet and Petrovac will play at the “DG Arena”.
