From the special reporter "Vijesti"
It is a difficult journey to Gibraltar, a British territory on the very edge of the Mediterranean, the southern gateway to Europe.
A three-hour flight to Malaga, in the south of Spain, and then an almost two-hour drive along the coast of Andalusia, all the way to the town of La Linea, from where, if you approach Gibraltar by bus - the border is crossed on foot, intersecting the runway of the local airport.
Familiar images for those who were there four years ago when the Montenegrin national team visited and witnessed the 3:0 victory won by Miodrag Radulović's team.
Huge crowds on the narrow streets of Gibraltar, because at that very time, around 16 pm, people are returning from work - made this journey take almost seven hours.
The situation is even more difficult as the Montenegrin national team awaits the last two rounds of World Cup qualifiers.
While all other teams from the region are dreaming of the World Cup, or at least have a calculated, theoretical chance, our national team is approaching the end with completely different goals and ambitions.
They come down to just one choice - victory at any cost, any way, in any way, despite the lack of real competitive ambitions, in order to regain some confidence and improve the mood before Croatia's arrival in Podgorica on Monday, as well as all future actions.
Another "dangerous" match for Mirko Vučinić's team, just as dangerous as the one in his debut, in the Faroe Islands, and which ended the way it did...
Vučinić seems to have subscribed to plastic surfaces, so after the far north of Europe, in Torshavn, he will take his team to an artificial pitch in the very south, in Gibraltar.
There, another opponent awaits him who knows how to position himself and how to defend - perhaps not as physically powerful as Farani, but defensively aggressive and tactically "slick". The proximity of Spain seems to be felt in this second part...
The announcement that Montenegro is playing against outsiders - and in fact it is, if you look at the tables, figures, and Fifa list, sounds even more dangerous when you look at how our national team is playing in this qualifying cycle.
Indeed, it would be hard to imagine what would happen if Montenegro did not beat Gibraltar, although in fact nothing would change: the penultimate position in the group with long-lost chances and out of all the way.
Montenegrin football players, despite everything, are thinking positively, and Vučinić will be helped in his expedition to the famous Rock of Gibraltar by some returnees: Marko Janković and Adam Marušić, first and foremost, Milan Vukotić as well, as well as Risto Radunović on the left side.
Although missing two of their captains and greatest players, Stefan Savić and Stevan Jovetić, Montenegro has a more complete team at its disposal than in the Faroe Islands last month.
The match at the "Europa Point" stadium will be played tomorrow at 20:45.
