The coach of the Croatian national football team, Zlatko Dalić, condemned the scandalous behavior of Croatian fans during the match against Montenegro, on Monday in Podgorica, during the World Cup qualifiers.
From the stands where the Croatian fans were seated, shameful shouts were heard during the match: "Kill the Serb", "Ready for home", "The Ustasha flag is flying"...
"Unfortunately, we will be punished again. Some shouts have no place at national team matches. This national team stands for unity, love, patriotism and faith. There is no place for some things and I am sorry that it was like that. I don't remember when the visiting audience applauded the Croatian anthem for so long as this one in Montenegro. There is no place for that, now we are facing punishment," Dalić said on Nova TV's Dnevnik.
Dalić did not want to comment on anything after the match on Monday.
"Thank you very much for the hospitality. Everything was great. Don't ask me about the rest," Dalić said at the time.
Croatia celebrated 3:2 in Podgorica after a turnaround.
