The pioneer football team of Montenegro was defeated in the second round of the UEFA Development Tournament in Moldova.
The Moldovans were better than our team, winning with goals in the final minutes of the match - 2:0.
The scorers were Mihail Mocpan in the 81st minute and Roman Romandaš in the 85th minute.
This is Montenegro's first defeat in the tournament, after a victory over Azerbaijan (1:0) in the first round.
"A very poor performance by our guys, especially in the first half, where there was no rhythm to the game. Due to the propositions, in that part of the match, players who played less in the first round got a chance. In the second half, the game was a bit better, we had the initiative and we brought the opponent to a situation where they did not have a shot on goal. However, in the last ten minutes, we made a couple of consecutive cardinal mistakes, which ultimately cost us the result," said coach Vladan Savić.
Montenegro plays Bulgaria on Sunday.
