Mornar, Jezero and Otrant have advanced to the semi-finals of the Montenegrin Football Cup. Bar and Plav repeated last year's success, while Ulcinj took the feat one step further - they eliminated Petrovac away after a penalty shootout and after being two goals down in the regular period.
Mornar returned to winning ways after losing to Buducnost (2:0) on Sunday in the 16th round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
Vesko Stešević's team defeated Iskra (4:0) in the quarterfinals of the Cup today in Danilovgrad and advanced to the semifinals.
Mornar took the lead in the 29th minute, when Balša Dubljević beat Tomaš Đurović from about 16 meters.
Eight minutes later it was 2:0 - a duel between Bogdan Obradović and Demir Škrijelj took place in the penalty area. The Baran player fell, and referee Branko Odalović pointed to a penalty. Stefan Denković was safe from 11 meters.
The question of the winner was resolved in the 56th minute, when Denković scored the second goal of the match after a combination with Velimir Ljutica, and the final result was set in the 69th minute by Bojan Pavićević.
Jezero surprised the crowd by defeating Mladost Lob.bet - 2:0 at the DG Arena.
Nenad Krivokapić solved everything, with two quick goals at the end of the first half. Krivokapić demonstrated speed, resourcefulness and precision on two occasions, in the 40th and second minute of stoppage time of the first half, and checked Petar Radulović twice.
A great success for Miodrag Džudović's team, who defeated Mladost in the championship on Saturday, then as hosts in Berane.
Otrant pulled off a feat and came back in Petrovac after a 2:0 deficit, and then "survived" a penalty that the home team took to go through in the penalty shootout.
It seemed like it would be an easy victory for the home team, who had a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Nemanja Carević in the 2nd and 23rd minutes.
However, a turnaround occurred later on, first Franeta scored in the 35th minute, and then Sefa scored in the 58th minute to level the score at 2:2.
The game was decided by penalty kicks and everything went smoothly until 3:3, as Popović, Arambašić and Pešukić scored for the home team, and Muharemović, Sefa and Talović for the away team.
In the fourth series, however, Pavićević hit the crossbar, and Boljević brought Petrovac one step closer to passing.
In the fifth, Pajović kept Ulcinj's hopes alive, and then Carević turned from hero to tragedian - he shot the winning penalty over the goal.
In the sixth series, the decision was made - Lambulić scored for the guests, and Otranto goalkeeper Agović saved Merdović's shot for a big celebration for the Ulcinj team!
