Slightly less than three thousand Buducnost fans, or football fans in general, voted in a large poll "We are choosing the best team in the hundred-year history of Buducnost", featured on the "Vijesti" portal.
No matter how thankless this kind of unofficial election may be, especially considering the time period covered (100 years - no less, no more), no matter how many players were neglected, mostly players from the earlier - pre-war and post-war period, because voting is done in the present tense (the most common age of "voters" is between 35 and 44 years old), the poll has gained great popularity, especially because of the votes given - and still to be given - by the actors themselves, in this case the greatest living legends of the Podgorica club.
At the end of the year, "Vijesti" will compile ideal teams for Buducnost based on reader votes, as well as on the votes of legends - they will also compile one, collective "ideal" team, with the legends' votes counting many times more than the fans' votes.
“Ideal”, in quotation marks - because, we repeat once again, there is no ideal team, especially when talking about an entire century of playing in blue and white - nor is there any kind of survey that would treat this period 100 percent realistically. What we are trying to do is to get as close to that “ideal” concept as possible.
Here we bring you a cross-section of the fan voting on the "Vijesti" portal, both simultaneously and separately, while the poll among the legends is ongoing, which you can read these days through interviews with former football masters who marked entire eras of football in Podgorica, the former Titograd, Montenegro, but also much wider - the former Yugoslavia, Europe, the entire world...
The first best team of Buducnost, composed of votes from nearly 3.000 fans, is so representative that even European giants would envy it: it includes former national team members of the great SFR Yugoslavia, then the smaller one - the FR Yugoslavia, world youth champions, two Champions League winners - two players who decided the Champions League final - two "silver" balls of France football. The second team is similar...
Compared to the previous cross-section, when the votes of 1.500 fans were processed, based on a twice as large sample, two changes occurred in the best team - Milutin Miso Folic has overtaken at right back Duško Vlaisavljevića by just a few votes, while Miodrag Count Božović "fallen" into the position of central defender instead Niša Saveljića - of course, for now, it's about dozens of votes, an extremely small percentage difference.
Dragoljub Brnović also constantly "threatens" Zoran Vorotović, just like and Mojas Radonjic Ante Drobnjak, but the order of the left back and central striker positions remained the same after this, twice as numerous, sample of votes.
So, the best Buducnost team, based on just under three thousand fan votes, is as follows: Dragoje Leković - Miso Folic, Slavko Vlahovic, Miodrag Grof Bozovic, Zoran Vorotovic - Janko Mirocevic, Ante-Tonko Mirocevic, Predrag Mijatovic - Dejan Savicevic, Dragan Guzo Vujovic - Anto Drobnjak.
The second best team of Buducnost based on the fans' votes so far is: Momcilo Vujacic - Dusan Vlaisavljevic, Nikola Jovanovic, Nisa Saveljic, Dragoljub Brnovic - Petar Caco Ljumovic, Zeljko Petrovic, Branko Brnovic - Igor Burzanovic, Drago Cetka Kovacevic - Mojas Radonjic.
The second team? Some say it will look stronger than the first...
We have previously emphasized that we will not be "slaves" to positions, but that we will not hesitate to assign players who could play, or who covered multiple positions (Branko Brnović and Željko Petrović, typical examples), to positions close to them based on the number of votes.
And a third team would look attractive: Mladen Bozovic - Risto Lakic, Vojislav Vukcevic, Miodrag Vukotic, Rajko Folic - Momir Bakrac, Dimitrije Mitrovic, Drasko Bozovic - Zoran Batrovic, Ivan Vukovic - Zeljko Janovic.
Vote for the best team of Buducnost on the "Vijesti" portal in the poll that will be open until the end of the year - the hundredth in the history of the largest Montenegrin football club. A club that, more than anything, more than results or anything else, has been made famous by - the names, the football players.
It is important to point out that due to technical limitations, multiple voting from the same device - the same IP address - is possible, but such multiple votes are counted only once.
The three best teams of Buducnost according to fans' votes
According to the fans' votes, the three best Buducnost teams, based on about three thousand "counted" results, look like this:
Best team 1: Dragoje Leković - Milutin-Mišo Folic, Slavko Vlahović, Miodrag Grof Božović, Zoran Vorotović - Janko Miročević, Ante-Tonko Miročević, Predrag Mijatović - Dejan Savićević, Dragan Guzo Vujović - Anto Drobnjak.
Best team 2: Momčilo Vujačić - Dušan Vlaisavljević, Nikola Jovanović, Nisa Saveljić, Dragoljub Brnović - Petar Caco Ljumović, Željko Petrović, Branko Brnović - Igor Burzanović, Drago Četka Kovačević - Mojaš Radonjić.
Best team 3: Mladen Božović - Risto Lakić, Vojislav Vukčević, Miodrag Vukotic, Rajko Folic - Momir Bakrac, Dimitrije Mitrovic, Draško Božović - Zoran Batrović, Ivan Vuković - Željko Janović.
Jovan Hajduković, Zoran Batrović, Mirko Radinović, Petar Čelebić...
The names of Budućnost football players, past and present, who were not on the original list of "candidates", and who were added separately by the fans, are interesting.
At each position, it is possible to add the name of a football player who fans, or football enthusiasts, believe is a contender for the best team in Buducnost.
The list is long, and the highest number of "written" votes were received by goalkeepers Jovan Hajduković, Branislav Đukanović, Miroslav Vujadinović and Milan Mijatović, defenders (right or left) Marinko Mirotić and Miladin Pešterac, center-halfs Vučina Vasović, Branko Rašović and Zoran Mijović, midfielders Drago Vučeković, Zoran Batrović, Miodrag Radulović, Lazar Njaka Radović, Dejan Vukićević and Srdan Dmitrović, and forwards (offensive players) Petar Čelebić, Mirko Radinović, Vlado Milić...
