Barcelona footballer Dani Olmo will be out for the rest of the year due to a shoulder injury, Spanish media reported today.
Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the league last night, and Olmo was injured while scoring the second goal. He fell on his shoulder after sending the ball past goalkeeper Jan Oblak, he was visibly in pain and had to leave the game.
As reported by Spanish outlet Sport, coach Hansi Flick will not be able to count on Olmo until the end of the year after the player dislocated his shoulder, which could require surgery.
Barcelona do not expect the Spanish international to return to the field before the holiday break.
Olmo had problems with his left shoulder in 2023, when he was absent for two months due to surgery, and Barcelona fears that the same situation will happen again.
Olmo has been one of Barcelona's best players lately, he scored a goal last night, and in the previous match against Alaves he was a double scorer.
