During the World Cup draw ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, FIFA awarded its first Peace Prize.
The winner is - as announced and expected - US President Donald Trump.
It was, in fact, assumed that Trump would be the winner ever since FIFA announced the establishment of the award a month ago, which it said would "reward individuals who have taken exceptional and extraordinary steps for peace."
FIFA announced the award weeks after the Norwegian Nobel Committee passed over Trump for its prestigious peace award in October.
Trump has long sought to win this award, which he said this week that he deserves because he has ended various conflicts.
The award was presented to Trump by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who has been a frequent guest in his Oval Office over the past year.
