Buducnost suffered an away defeat in the 18th round of the domestic championship – at the “Mitar Mićo Goliš” stadium, home team Petrovac was better - 2:1.
The home team turned things around after Buducnost took the lead: Danilo Vukanić scored a great goal from 25 meters, but later - in conditions where someone could have been seriously injured at any moment - Petrovac managed better, the "blue and white" announced on their website.
Only Buducnost, after a home defeat to Bokelj, gave in to another coastal club.
"Certainly, neither the club nor I as a coach are used to situations like this, but the decision to build a new team is a process that requires certain problems along the way. I knew there would be oscillations and I regret more that we didn't celebrate against Bokelj and make a streak of three consecutive victories than I regret Petrovac," said head coach Dejan Vukićević, who added:
"And just as in the previous few games I couldn't fault the players in terms of responsibility, discipline in the game, motivation, desire to get a result and togetherness, after the game in Petrovac I can say that this is exactly what we lacked in a large group of players. I honestly don't know the reason, but we can't finish the game unscathed on such a difficult field, full of mud."
The blue and whites have lost their lead, and in the last two rounds of the fall they will do everything to prevent something similar from happening again, because they are aware that they need points against Jezera and Dečić.
"We had the lead, everything was in our hands, and some mistakes and insufficient desire to defend the lead cost us the loss of points. I am sorry that the enormous effort put into training this time was not transferred where it was most needed - to the match. Petrovac is a quality, experienced and well-coordinated team, and they definitely managed better on the field where there were really no conditions for some nice football and where approach, fighting spirit, and the desire to win dominate. There are two matches left until the half-season, we have to find a way to win points and - unlike the extremely poor summer transfer window - to do a good job in the winter and remain competitive for a high ranking at the end of the season," Vukićević is clear.
Lazar Mijović and Lazar Savović suspended until the end of the half-season
The coaching staff could not count on all the players, neither against Petrovac nor against Bokelj – Lazar Mijović and Lazar Savović were left out of the protocol.
"I must emphasize, for the sake of the public that may be less informed, that at this moment, we are facing a huge handicap due to Mijović and Savović not playing. I counted on them when I planned the team, not only for this season, but for a longer period when it comes to the club, because one is 17, the other is 22 years old," said Vukićević, who said:
"The club offered them exceptional conditions for the extension of their cooperation, which do not satisfy them and they did not recognize our wish for their football development to be at the club where they originated, they did not agree to sign new contracts that would remove the ridiculously small termination clauses they have from previous contracts. After that, there was a suspension by the club and for that reason they did not play the previous two matches, and as things stand, they will not play the next two matches until the end of the half-season."
