As the former sports director of the club from the Ancient City, Dejan Ognjanović, told Radio Kotor, Balić, with his attitude and career, deserved to succeed him in this position.
Ognjanović, who is the vice president of the Football Association of Montenegro, will remain in Bokelj, but in a different role in the club's management.
Saša Balić played for Grbalj, Inter Zaprešić, Krivbas, Metalurg, Targu Mures, Sarajevo, Cluj, Zaglebie, Korona, Dinamo Batumi, Dečić and Bokelj in his career.
He played 14 matches for the Montenegrin national team. He made his debut in a friendly match against Uzbekistan on March 25, 2011, and his last match for the "brave falcons" was in the Nations League against Finland on September 9, 2022.
