Five wins, three draws, six losses... relegation from the Cup and currently 7th place in the 10-team standings. That's Dejan Vukićević's performance since he took over Budućnost in mid-September.
He was the fourth coach of the "blue and whites" this season and made some unexpected decisions, such as when he thanked the majority of experienced and foreign players, but that didn't help either, so the autumn part ended with four consecutive defeats.
Is he the biggest culprit for the club's worst finish since the restoration of independence? According to the most ardent fans of Buducnost - he is not.
After the defeat to Dečić (1:0) and the last match of 2025, he received support from the "Barbarians" from the away stands at the "Besa Arena".
"I'm very proud of it. Certainly - not that it pleases me, but it made my heart dance," said Vukićević, as reported by "Lobsport".

The coach of the first Montenegrin champion Zeta continued in a similar tone.
"I am truly grateful for every second of support from the fans. No matter how many problems there were, I enjoyed working at Buducnost. I looked forward to every training session. I told the players that when I enter the locker room and see the Buducnost kit with the crest on the chest, I get excited. They know how much energy and knowledge I put into every moment."
He emphasized that he was glad that the fans recognized that.
"I am grateful and I said when I spoke to them after the game that they did not deserve all this that is happening. I hope that this is just a step back for two steps forward tomorrow. I am sure that Buducnost will quickly return to the paths that objectively belong to it."
With Vukićević on the bench or without him?
"As for my status - that's the easiest to resolve. I'm ready for anything that's in the club's interest. I'll talk to the management, we'll analyze everything and see what's best. I'll do everything in the interest of Buducnost, which is what I've been doing all these days. I hope we make the best possible decision. We're all hot and I'd like to put everything on hold because I said a lot yesterday, it would be too much to repeat now," concluded Vukićević.
