For days, European media have been writing about Robert Lewandowski's future. The Barcelona player's contract expires in the summer, so there was talk of a move to Milan, or to Inter from Miami with Lionel Messi, and then today another piece of information emerged.
Chicago has shown interest in Lewandowski, who has been working for months to bring in the Polish striker. Club officials have spoken with Lewandowski, who is open to a move to MLS, so salary shouldn't be an issue.
Lewandowski still has the option to stay in Barcelona, there is also a potential move to Saudi Arabia, but at the moment the most realistic option is to go to MLS.
Chicago tried to bring in Neymar and Kevin de Bruyne last summer, and now they have chosen Lewandowski as their main target. It would also be a strategic move, as there are many Poles living in Chicago.
Lewandowski arrived at Barcelona from Bayern Munich three and a half years ago. He has scored 109 goals in 164 games and won La Liga twice.
This season, he has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 17 games in all competitions.
