When it mattered most, after two consecutive defeats, Tottenham celebrated on a difficult away trip - the club from north London triumphed in the south of the British capital.
Spurs defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 in the last match of the 18th round of the Premier League.
Tottenham were mostly defending at Selhurst Park, but were also waiting for a real chance in attack. It arrived in the 42nd minute - Pedro Porro took a corner kick, Richarlison headed the ball over Archie Gray's head, and the young Englishman was not wrong.
Crystal Palace, unlike Spurs, have spoiled the end of the most successful year in the club's history, as they are winless in their last five games in all competitions.
Thomas Frank's team didn't have many shots on target, but they did score twice, and on both occasions VAR ruled out the goals for offside. In both cases, video technology prevented Richarlison from celebrating.
