Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said today that he is very happy at the football club and ruled out a move to Manchester United.
Only Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta and Fulham coach Marco Silva have been in charge of a Premier League club longer than Howe, who took over at Newcastle in November 2021.
Asked if anything could tempt him to leave St James' Park, Howe replied: "No. Not at the moment."
"The most important thing for me is happiness in this role, happiness at work and the relationships I have with the people around me. It hasn't always been consistently good. Things can change at any football club, but at the moment I'm very happy," Howe said, according to the BBC.
There were tensions between Howe and sporting director Paul Mitchell, who left the club last summer after less than a year in the role.
Howe quickly fitted in well with Ross Williams, who replaced Mitchell.
Howe said he was happy at Newcastle "as long as he can express himself in the best way and be the best version of himself".
Newcastle are ninth in the Premier League table, two points off fifth place, have reached the semi-finals of the League Cup and are on course to qualify for the second stage of the Champions League.
Howe has the support of majority owners, a consortium from Saudi Arabia, and minority owner Jaime Ruben.
"For any club to be successful, there has to be unity from top to bottom. There has to be a good feeling among everyone. I have an incredible relationship with the management. That has never changed. I consider myself very lucky to have that, as there are very few coaches who have the time to build those relationships," said the "black and white" coach.
"Having trust and believing in each other is really important. I hope it stays that way for a very long time," Hau added.
