For the fourth year in a row, the Spanish Super Cup will be staged by one of the world's biggest derbies - Real Madrid and Barcelona will fight for the first trophy of the season in Jeddah on Sunday.
After Barca sent Athletic Bilbao from Saudi Arabia off with a bang last night, Real joined them in the final with a victory over city rivals Atletico (2:1).
"El Madrilenjo" at the "King Abdullah" stadium will be remembered for the spectacular goal that gave Real the lead, in the 2nd minute - Fede Valverde's "missile" didn't leave Jan Oblak even a chance.
Xabi Alonso's team reached 2:0 in the 54th minute when Rodrigo pogodio and it seemed that she had already left the derby without drama.
However, just four minutes later, the "Kolčoneros" returned - Alexandre Serlot's header for 2:1.
Diego Simone's team tried after that, but Real once again showed who the "king of Madrid" is.
The new "el clasico" that brings the cup will be played on Sunday from 20 p.m.
