A new beginning for the Buducnost players, who knows which one in a row in the last seven or eight months, but hopefully the new year will bring change in the ranks of the current champion of Montenegro.
Miodrag Grof Božović is now on the bench, who succeeded Dejan Vukićević in the second half of December last year, and who commented on the situation in the table.
As he says, it is ugly for a club of Buducnost's reputation.
"We are two points away from relegation. One can always start with the darkest doubts, but everything depends on us, on the atmosphere. Nothing is unattainable, but we should not make promises," said Božović.
"The Blues" are 11 points behind leaders Sutjeska - is it realistic for them to join the championship race...
"A lot depends on that first game. The goal is to improve the standings - qualifying for the European stage is a hope, but football is a strange game and I can't promise that we will get there," Božović is clear.
For goals to be achievable, it is necessary for the team to have at least one virtue.
"Without a good atmosphere, there are no results. Players don't have to be teammates, but they have to be professionals. Like Neymar, Messi and Mbappe - professionals above all. When you are a professional, results come, and then the atmosphere is better," said Božović, who earned his coaching reputation in Russia.
Buducnost ended the first part of the season with four losses - to Bokelj, Petrovac, Jezera and Dečić.
"I watched those games and I can't say that anyone outplayed Buducnost. Also, I can't say that it was a good game. I didn't notice any passion in the game, any desire to win. I saw indifference. The games were lost in the 80th or 90th minute," says Mojkovčanin.
The champion needs reinforcements.
"We will do everything to strengthen ourselves. The winter transfer window is not the ideal time for that, there are few players who can come and really strengthen the team. We have already completed some, we are still completing some. We have to be careful, because no one can bring in seven or eight players without making a mistake."
What kind of football will Buducnost play? The least important thing is if it brings results.
"I don't like the division into defense, midfield, and attack. The team attacks and defends together. It's not the goalkeeper's fault when he concedes a goal, it's the whole team. There were no goals against Bokelj because there was no play, and Buducnost didn't shoot on goal. You can't score a goal if you don't create a chance."
And does the Future he found have quality?
"It is difficult to judge players in a turbulent situation, with frequent changes of coaches and people in the club. I believe that only now will their true quality be seen," concluded Božović.
The reinforcements include experienced striker Nemanja Nikolić, as well as Miloš Milović and Stefan Hajdin, confirmed sports director Nenad Maslovar.
"There will be new players, at least seven or eight. There are also players who did not give their maximum in the previous half-season, and they could be reinforcements. I would not like to speculate on names because nothing has been finally decided yet," Maslovar pointed out.
The future does not give up on Lazar Savović.
"We have contact with Savović. There is a possibility that we can hold talks and maybe he will stay."
Driton Camaj was a wish, but...
"There were negotiations, but we could not meet the financial requirements. The story was fair. He chose what he chose for his own reasons," concluded Maslovar.
