Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick will sign a contract with the Red Devils until the end of the season, British media reports.
Carrick will succeed Ruben Amorim on the bench of the struggling giants, ending speculation about a new manager - at least the club has time until the summer to think of something different and finally make the right choice.

Carrick has made his mark at the club, being part of the coaching staff, and has already had a brief and successful stint as United's interim manager in 2021.

Carrick later managed Middlesbrough (2022–2025).
