United ended a four-match winless run in all competitions, and defeated their city rivals at home for the first time in three years.
United were much better today, and the victory could have been more convincing - the "devils" hit the target twice, and had three more goals disallowed.
But, they can still be satisfied at Old Trafford, as they really needed this victory. And they got it with goals from Embeum and Dorgu.
On the other hand, City didn't show much today, there was no idea, Pep Guardiola's team was indecisive in the final minutes, although they had the initiative during the match.
At the same time, this is an opportunity for Arsenal to move nine points ahead of the "citizens" tonight. The London team is visiting Nottingham.
United had a chance in the third minute, with Maguire hitting the crossbar from a few metres out. Midway through the first half, Dorgu missed a chance, then Diallo had a goal disallowed for offside, and then Fernandes' goal was also disallowed for offside.
