Manchester City have made their second major signing for the remainder of the season - it has been announced that Mark Gaye has become the new player for the "citizens".
The former Crystal Palace captain arrived at the Etihad for a fee of around 25 million euros, and before him, striker Antoine Semenyo arrived from Bournemouth for almost 70.
Gei's contract with Palace was expiring at the end of the season and it had long been known that he would not extend it.
He was a step away from Liverpool this summer, the deal fell through, but now City were serious enough to get it all done in just a few days.
"I am proud to be part of City. I see this transfer as the culmination of everything good I have done in my career, the effort I have put in... Now I am part of the best club in England and I can't wait to play," said Gea.
