The guy who arrived at Anfield unnoticed and quietly and quickly became a legend is close to parting ways with Liverpool.
Andy Robertson, a Scottish footballer who has played for the Reds for the past nine years, could strengthen Tottenham.
According to the BBC, the north London club has already begun negotiations with Liverpool about signing the left-back.
"Robertson's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer, and last week he said he had not yet decided where he would continue his career. The BBC has learned that Spurs have taken certain steps, but that no agreement has been reached at this stage," the famous media outlet reported.
The Scottish international has only started four Premier League games this season, and his desire is to play regularly in order to go into the World Cup in the right form.
Since 2017, when he arrived from Hull for just eight million pounds, Robertson has become a Liverpool legend, one of the symbols of the team that returned the great from the City of the Beatles to the top of England and Europe.
When comparing all left-backs in the Premier League during that period, Robertson created the most chances (420), the most big chances (87), and also registered the most assists (56).
This season he gets much fewer opportunities, as Arne Slott is using Miloš Kerkez more at left back - regardless of the fact that the Hungarian international has yet to prove that he is a real reinforcement.
If Robertson leaves Liverpool this January, only captain Virgil van Dijk, striker Mohamed Salah and goalkeeper Alisson Becker will be left from the aforementioned famous generation to wear the Reds jersey.
