American Trinity Rodman has become the highest-paid female soccer player in the world after signing a new three-year contract with the Washington Spirit.
Trinity Rodman, daughter of NBA star Dennis Rodman, has signed a contract until 2028 worth two million dollars per year including bonuses.
"It feels incredible. I'm very happy, blessed. I think this is a huge moment and a turning point. I can't put into words how it feels," said Rodman, who plays as a forward.
Before this contract, the highest-paid female footballer was Ajtana Bonmati from Barcelona, winner of the Ballon d'Or in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Rodman won the NWSL title with the Spirit in her debut season in 2021, when she was named Rookie of the Year.
She has played 47 games for the US national team and scored 11 goals since making her debut in 2022.
She won the Olympic gold medal in Paris in 2024, where she scored three goals.
