Milutin Osmajić will not play in the next three games for Preston after he headbutted an opponent in a Hull shirt - the Montenegrin striker made another gaffe that should not have happened to him, and now he has spoken out on social media.
Osmajić apologized to everyone at the club, aware that he had let them down.
"I want to apologize to everyone for my behavior in the game against Hull on Tuesday. One bad decision and a moment of stupidity led to my sending off and I am very angry with myself for that. Emotions got the better of me at that moment and I let my coach, teammates and fans down. I know I need to control myself better in these situations," Osmajić wrote on his Instagram profile.
He will miss the matches against Middlesbrough, Ipswich and Portsmouth.
"I'm disappointed to miss three games due to suspension, and all I want to do is score goals, help the team win and put a smile on the fans' faces. We're having a good season and I want to help the team be successful. There's nothing I'd like more than to help the team win promotion to the Premier League. I love all the Preston fans and I love this club. Once again, I apologize for my behavior," Osmajić said.
The Nikšić native previously missed nine matches because he racially abused Burnley player Hannibal Mežbrij in a match last season.
In October 2024, he was suspended for eight games for biting Blackburn footballer Owen Beck.
