Somehow, in only the second season since the club was founded, Balkan Eagles had a dominant first half of the season in the Senior League of the Association of Clubs FSCG - Centar. Only two points were lost, in a draw with Čelika in Nikšić, and all wins in the remaining 10 matches of the autumn part.
From the sidelines, but not unexpected if you look at the composition of the "eagles" from Tuzi with former Montenegrin national team players and a proven coaching staff led by Viktor Trenevsky. However, Zeta from Trešnjica announced a return to the professional ranks and it seemed that they were the first favorite, ahead of Zabjelo, Čelik....
- In the last autumn round, we beat Zeta 1:0 at Trešnjica in front of 1.500 spectators. That was a surprise for others, but not for us at the club, because we know how well they work and what we have. And we will be even stronger, because there is huge interest and at the start of preparations on January 21st, many excellent players - of first-league quality, who would like to stay at the club. However, we have to do a scouting in the coaching staff in the next five days, to see who we need. We will carry out the preparations in Tuzi at the auxiliary Dečić stadium, on an artificial surface, where we play our games. There will also be a few control, preparatory matches, and for now they are certain against Lovćen and Internacional - said Trenevski.
The championship continues on the last day of February, it is certain that the team has strengthened even before the scouting. Vojin Pavlovic from Zeta, who previously played in Sutjeska, Grblje, OFK Titograd, Rudar, Jezera, Iskra...
The Balkan Eagles have no dilemma:
- In the second round of the continuation in Tuzi we welcome Zabjelo, who are the first runner-up with four points less and a victory would mean a match point for winning the league. However, that is not a guarantee of promotion to the Meridianbet Second Montenegrin League, and therefore the club's professional status. There will be a play-off, and Budva, we hear, is strengthening greatly, Brskovo has great ambitions in the Northern region. Here, Zabjelo, which personally evokes special emotions in me because of the unusually beautiful atmosphere at the stadium and around the club, remained undefeated last season without promotion to a higher rank. And a club like Zabjelo is needed by the second league caravan - explained Trenevski.
After becoming a favorite of the "barbarians" in Buducnost and the "gravedigger" in Partizan, Trenevski continued his football career in Mexico, played in Slovenia, and was also a member of the Macedonian national team.
- I obtained all my licenses up to the Pro coaching license in Slovenia, with Zavrč I achieved unimaginable success, while I obtained the highest coaching title, the Uefa Pro, in North Macedonia, for whose national team I played 19 times. I also coached numerous other clubs in Slovenia, including Rabotnicki in Skopje, Grbalj, and with Kom I even won promotion to the First League. Now in this Dečić team there are many players who started with me at that club, and in the "Eagles" there are former national team players Christian Vulaj, p Pixie Kojašević, who, in addition to his major role on the field, also helps with organizational matters, training, and is extremely important for the club. The coaching staff also includes Marko Cetkovic and goalkeeping coach Bojan Mugoša - concluded Trenevski.
In the Balkan Eagles, they only recognize sporting qualities.
The Balkan Eagles were founded only two years ago, with American capital from Rushdi Djokaj, whose ideas are being implemented by the president of the "Eagles" Besar Djokaj.
- The club is extremely well organized under the given conditions, and it is impossible to talk about some heights until professional status is achieved. It is paradoxical that the third league teams do not play in the Montenegrin Cup, which is designed as a competition in which everyone seeks a chance. The winners of the league must then seek a path to the professional rank through the play-offs. However, the owner has unusual, avant-garde and progressive ideas. He looks at football the way I believe it should be done. The American system in the club excludes politics, disrespect for what has been agreed upon, and that is why the "Eagles" are a very desirable club for all players. The atmosphere is therefore great and it is truly a pleasure for everyone to work. A place in the professional rank would be an additional and real trigger for the club to literally take off, form youth teams, and achieve the prerequisites for great progress - emphasized Trenevski.
