The most ardent fans of Buducnost, the "Varvari", interrupted today's friendly match that the current champion's players played against third-league team Ilarion, at the Old Airport, "Vijesti" has learned.
Around the 20th minute of the match, with the score 1:0 in favor of the "blues", about 30 fans entered the field with lit torches. They collected all seven balls used in the match, then approached the Buducnost bench and informed the coach and coaching staff that the match would not continue.
With chants of "management out" and name-calling at club president Boris Spalević, they left the field with the balls, and the match did not continue.
The fans have been at war with the management for a long time, and it all culminated with the arrival of Boris Spalević, the deputy mayor, at the helm of the club, and the appointment of a Board of Directors whose individual members are not to the liking of the club's most ardent fans, regardless of the fact that they also have a representative in the management body.
Ninoslav Kaluđerović, Mileta Šćepanović, Nikola Marković and Feđa Smatlik, all members of the Board of Directors, were found a few days ago on posters plastered around the city with derogatory inscriptions, along with Spalević, executive director Predrag Kažić and youth school director Gavrilo Petrović.
Spalević reacted with the words "who cares about a strong and healthy Buducnost" and in a statement delivered to "Vijesti" he listed in detail how much money the fan group has received from the club in recent years.
What's next?
The future is traveling to Malaga for preparations in two days, the next two weeks will probably be quiet, at least as far as the team and coaching staff are concerned, and when they return, when the championship starts - who knows...
The championship continues on February 21. Buducnost, which is seventh in the standings, closer to the bottom than the top of the table, welcomes the leading Sutjeska in the first round of the continuation, from which it is 11 points behind.
Club legend Miodrag Božović Grof returned to the bench after 19 years and will try to bring Buducnost back, for starters - to the top of Montenegrin football.
