The only goal was scored by "elf" representative Mario Gomez in the 35th minute with a shot from the penalty spot.

The second leg is played on Monday at Braunschweig Stadium, which has not been a member of the Bundesliga since the 2013/2014 season.
Wolfsburg has been playing in the elite since 1997.
