The capital city of Podgorica has allocated 4.260.000 euros this year to co-finance the work programs of sports clubs it founded, of which two million euros were allocated to the football club.
The contract was signed on behalf of the "blues" by executive director Predrag Kažić.
"A big day for our club, but also for the entire sports community of Podgorica. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Capital City and personally to Mayor Saša Mujović, for the enormous support, attention and recognition of the importance that FK Budućnost has for our community," said Kažić.
The future needs stabilization, but also dominance on the field.
"We will focus on stabilizing the business, investing in the youth school and creating a team that will dominate the domestic scene and worthily represent the city and country in Europe. The future is the symbol of Podgorica, and with this support from the Capital City, I am sure that we have a year of stability and the European perspective that the club and its fans deserve. The future no longer waits for opportunities, it creates them," said Kažić.
The president of Budućnost, Boris Spalević, also spoke out.
"When we took responsibility for managing FK Budućnost, we promised to do everything we could to ensure that the club received the treatment befitting the symbol of our city. The signing of the contract is proof that what seemed unachievable to some was the only right path for us. As the president of the club, but also as someone who serves the citizens of Podgorica, I felt a duty to fight for a budget that guarantees championship development," Spalević emphasized.
He, of course, did not miss the opportunity to thank the first man of the city, Saša Mujović.
"The full support of Mayor Mujović and the synergy of the club with the Capital are now at their peak. Our task is to justify the historic budget with top results, professionalism at every level and energy that will bring the audience back to the stadium," concluded Spalević.
