Sassuolo lost Serbian player Nemanja Matić in the same minute, who received a second yellow card due to a complaint.

After their sixth consecutive win in Serie A, Inter occupy first place with 58 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Milan, with a game in hand.
Sassuolo is in 11th place in Serie A with 29 points.
