A satisfying draw for Montenegrin footballers, the play-offs for the European Championship are probably not that far away after what the drum in Brussels offered.
The "Falcons" were seeded in the draw for the C Nations League, and that status gave them opponents they could absolutely handle.
These are Armenia from the second pot, Cyprus from the third pot, and the winner of the play-off match between Latvia and Gibraltar from the fourth pot. From the latter, for example, potential rivals were also San Marino, Moldova, Luxembourg, or Malta.
If our team wins first place in the group, they will qualify for the play-offs for Euro 2028, regardless of the outcome of the qualifiers played next year.
The Nations League competition is scheduled for September, October and November, with the play-offs being played at the end of March 2027.
Nations League C:
C1: Albania, Finland, Belarus, San Marino;
C2: MONTENEGRO, Armenia, Cyprus, Latvia/Gibraltar;

The groups in the A League of Nations are, as expected, very interesting.
A1 includes the giants France and Italy, as well as Belgium and Turkey, while A2 consists of the Germans, Dutch, Serbs and Greeks.
In A3 are Spain, Croatia, England and the Czech Republic, and in 4 are Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Wales.
And the Nations League:

D2: Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein.
The groups in League D will be drawn first.
The Nations League competition begins on September 24th, with the final two rounds taking place in November.
Montenegrin football players will find out the names of their opponents in the Nations League C tonight.
The European Championship playoffs have never been as close as they are now, but we have to wait for the draw in Brussels (18 p.m.), as well as the matches that will be played in the fall of this year.
However, the very fact that our football team "fell" into a weaker, third-ranked division in the youngest UEFA representative competition, that it was able to make it to the playoffs, and that it found itself in the seeded position in the draw, gives Mirko Vučinić's team a chance - to hope and to believe.
Our team is in the first pot, which also includes Iceland, Albania and Kazakhstan. These are the teams that Montenegro will not be able to meet.
Potential rivals are Finland, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Armenia from the second pot, Belarus, Faroe Islands, Cyprus and Estonia from the third pot, and from the fourth pot Moldova, San Marino and the winners of the duels between Gibraltar and Latvia and Malta and Luxembourg.
The draw in Brussels will determine the groups in all four divisions of the Nations League - A, B, C and D.
