Former Arsenal star midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two more rapes.
His record says he was charged with five in total.
Partey, who now plays for Villarreal in Spain, is already facing a trial that took place in November, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of raping two women and sexually assaulting a third.
The new allegations, however, relate to a separate case from 2020, while he was wearing an Arsenal jersey, writes the English Daily Mail.
A spokesperson for the State Prosecutor's Office stated:
"Mr Parti has already been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault based on reports made by three women for events that allegedly took place between 2021 and 2022. The new charges relate to a separate criminal complaint from 2020, involving another woman, and are the result of a new investigation by the Metropolitan Police. The reports were first received in August 2025. Mr Parti will make his first appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 13."
Parti, notably, plays for Villarreal on bail and conditions that do not prevent him from playing for the club, but he is required to notify the police of any international travel 24 hours in advance.
