At a meeting of representatives of Partizan, Buducnost and Sutjeska, it was agreed to hold the so-called "Triagonal" tournament between these clubs in honor of the deceased Montenegrin football player, Andrija Delibasic.
The "Triagonal" is of a humanitarian nature, and will be held in Nikšić, at the stadium near Bistrica, on March 25. The first teams of these teams will perform, but without players who have obligations to the national teams, because the national team is on break at that time.
Delibasic started his career in Sutjeska, and then, at the age of 14, he moved to Partizan. He wore the "black and white" jersey of the senior team for five years and remained in the club's history as the scorer of Partizan's first goal in the Champions League. From Belgrade, he moved to Mallorca, from where he spent four years on loan at Benfica, Braga, AEK Athens, Beira Mar and Real Sociedad.
He then spent time at Erkules, and then spent three years at Rayo Vallecano. At the very end of his career, Andrija played in Thailand, for the team Ratchaburi, before ending his long and successful career in the jersey of his parent club Sutjeska from Nikšić.
He was on the coaching staff at Budućnost for a time, and served as sports director.
He made 21 appearances for the Montenegrin national team and scored six goals, and the one against England will be especially memorable, as he secured our national team's place in the play-offs for the 2012 European Championship.
Delibasic died on March 19th of last year after a long battle with a serious illness.
The memorial is being launched at the initiative of former Buducnost coach Ivan Brnović.
