Without goals and real chances - the younger youth football team of Montenegro ended the first of two matches with Bosnia and Herzegovina 0:0.
The match was played in Zenica, and the best opportunity for the young "falcons" came at the beginning of the second half when Novak Fatić's header after the break was saved by the home team's goalkeeper.
"A good match, competitive, with a pretty strong rhythm, despite the very difficult playing field. There weren't many chances on either side, but I'm certainly satisfied with our performance, especially when it comes to character and responsibility towards our obligations," said coach Nenad Vukčević.
A new match between the same rivals is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m.
"It's a shame we didn't get more out of some situations in this game, often that last pass was wrong. The second game is on Thursday, and players who had less playing time in this match will get a chance," added Vukčević.
The following players played for Montenegro: Edin Lekić, Petar Sekulović, Aleksa Perišić, Novaj Fatić, Liburn Lazoja (from 76. David Maraš), Matija Jovanović (from 87. Danilo Pejović), Vuk Pavicevic (from 87. Kosta Vujačić), Vukota Knežević (from 76. Marko Popović), Petar Ražnatović (from 76. Viktor Bubanja), Veljko Mijović (from 59.
