The head coach of the women's national football team, Mirko Marić, today announced the list of players for the matches against Albania and Wales, at the start of League B of the UEFA Nations League.
Marić is counting on 25 players for these matches.
They were invited goalkeepers - Senita Kalač (Economist), Ajša Kalač (Olimpija, Slovenia) and Jovana Žugić (Partizan, Serbia);
defense - Nađa Stanović (Slavija Prague, Czech Republic), Aleksandra Popović (Agram, Croatia), Jelena Karličić (Bešiktaš, Turkey), Maja Šaranović (Budućnost), Darija Đukić (Shikment, Kazakhstan), Helena Božić (without a club), Ivana Boričić (Ujpest, Hungary), Tanja Malesija (BSC 1924, Hungary), Andrea Janjušević (Emina, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Jovana Sarić (Ekonomist);
midfield - Maša Tomašević (Inter, Italy), Jasna Đoković (Agram, Croatia), Selma Licina (Nuremberg, Germany), Katarina Čađenović (SFK Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Nađa Đurđevac and Sara Simonović (Sent Mihalji, Hungary);
attack: Armisa Kuč, Slađana Bulatović (Fomget, Turkey), Medina Dešić (Werder, Germany), Anđela Tošković (Budućnost), Tatjana Osmajić (TSC, Serbia), Jelena Petrović (Partizan, Serbia).
The first challenge for the Montenegrin team will be a duel with Albania, on March 3rd at the City Stadium in Nikšić.
Montenegro will host Wales four days later.
Marić said that playing in League B is a big challenge for the Montenegrin national team.
"The goal is to stay in this company. We will do our best, I hope we will not play an episodic role, and the matches with Albania and Wales will probably show us some guidelines," said Marić.
Speaking about the Albanian team, he reminded that this is the team that is playing in League B for the second time.
"We saw that they have quality, they are a very aggressive and disciplined team. We have a difficult and demanding game ahead of us, but that should be our motivation to give our best," said Marić.
