Future "reset" in Tivat, assistant coach Mrvaljević: The pitch is no excuse - we were not at the level

With a win against Sutjeska in the derby on Saturday, Buducnost took a big step forward after four consecutive defeats at the end of autumn, but yesterday in Tivat they were back to square one.

They are actually back where they were during the break - in seventh position, 11 points behind the leading Sutjeska.

The team from Tivat defeated Miodrag Božović's team 1:0.

"We failed to confirm the derby victory, and the game was extremely difficult and ultimately unfavorable for us. We can't blame the players, but we simply weren't up to par. The pitch was difficult, it's generally in poor condition, we couldn't develop the game we wanted in those conditions, but in general - that's not an excuse, nor do we see it as an excuse," assistant coach Dejan Mrvaljević told the FSCG website.

Buducnost will welcome Dečić on Sunday. Tuzan are in second place, without a defeat in the second half (a win and a draw), a big challenge for the champion.

"We were not at the expected level and that is the essence of our defeat. It is good that the new game is coming soon, and the best way to get over a defeat is to win. I believe that we will be real under Gorica in another derby," said Mrvaljević.
