Sutjeska's players are the leaders in the MeridianBet First League standings, but it is obvious that they are not in a good moment, so the club has decided to make a change - the Board of Directors is expected to dismiss coach Dejan Jelenić tonight.
All that is awaited is confirmation from the stadium near Bistrica, and it is expected that Jelenić will be succeeded on the bench by Milorad Peković, a former Montenegrin national team player, a young coach who was a champion with Dečić in the 2023/2024 season.
The team from Nikšić opened the spring part of the season with a defeat in the derby against Buducnost (2:1), then with a lot of luck they defeated Petrovac (2:1), and on Sunday they drew with Jezera (1:1).
So, out of a possible nine, four points were won - the alarm was raised, because Sutjeska is in first place with a plus four compared to Mornar and Dečić. Although, as could be heard, the club's leaders and Jelenić have not been on the same wavelength for a long time...
Jelenić has led Sutjeska since the beginning of October last year, when he succeeded Milija Savović, whose first associate he was until then.
