The Argentine arrived at the US national team's bench on September 10, 2024, succeeding Greg Berhalter, and according to official data from the US Soccer Federation's tax return, in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, he earned an incredible $5.016.917.
Of that amount, his base salary was $2.516.917, while he earned as much as $2,5 million through bonuses.
His predecessor, Berhalter, who was fired in July 2024 after a brief second term, earned $1.774.981 during the same period. That figure includes $699.148 in salary, $325.000 in bonuses, and $750.833 in severance pay.
The head coach of the US women's national team, Emma Hayes, also had significant earnings, earning a total of $1.469.557. Her earnings included $744.557 in base salary, $700.000 in bonuses, and an additional $25.000 in other compensation.
