Montenegrin football coach Mirko Vučinić knows that his team has to do better - especially in matches in which they are big favorites.
That was exactly the case in the duel with Andorra, which the "falcons" won 2:0 with goals from Stefan Mugoša and Milutin Osmajić.
"Everything is more beautiful and better when you win a game. I had a situation during my playing career when I played phenomenally with Lecce, but we couldn't win. At one point, we all said that it would be better to play badly and win," Vučinić told RTCG.
There were good things, but...
"We created chances, had a few chances in front of goal, like the greats Balša Sekulić and Driton Camaj, but there were difficulties when they had the ball. We didn't get out to them in time...", added Vučinić.
Osmajić played in the last 15 minutes, scoring a goal for 2:0.
"We started with one striker, because Osmajić got hit in the knee the day before yesterday. I didn't want to take any risks, I wanted to rest him, but I saw that we were having difficulties in attack. It was much better when he came on," Vučinić explained.
On Tuesday, Slovenia will be the rival, and a completely different lineup is expected for Montenegro.
"The plan was to give a chance to players who played less in the previous period. There were certainly situations when we had to do better both when we had the ball and when we didn't. When we had the ball, we wanted to get to the goal as soon as possible, and it's not easy to break through teams like this," concluded Vučinić.
