The Montenegrin women's senior football team will play two matches against the Czech Republic in the April "window" as part of Group B1 of the World Cup qualifiers.
Our team will play against the Czech Republic in the city of Čomutovo on April 14th at 5:30 PM, while four days later at 6 PM they will welcome the same rival in Nikšić.
Montenegro was defeated by Albania (2:1) and Wales (6:1) in the first two rounds.
"The Czech Republic is one of the two strongest teams in the group, certainly on the level of Wales, if not above. They are a serious team, they confirmed that with their games in the first two rounds. I hope we learned something from the defeat in Wales, especially when it comes to defense. In duels with teams like this, every mistake is costly and that's why we have to minimize them. We need to be maximally concentrated and combative at all times, that's the only way we can play with the Czech Republic and similar teams," coach Mirko Marić told the Federation's website.
Coach Mirko Marić called up 24 players for those matches - goalkeepers: Ajša Kalač (Olimpija, Slovenia), Ilda Orahovac (Gorica), Anastasija Krstović (without a club);
