Former football goalkeeper Alex Manninger has died in a car accident near Salzburg.
Manninger was reportedly killed when a train hit his car.
"We mourn the loss of our former goalkeeper Alexander Manninger, who tragically lost his life in a car accident. Rest in peace, Alex," his former club Salzburg announced.
Manninger played for Arsenal, Fiorentina, Espanyol, Torino, Bologna, Juventus... and ended his professional career eight years ago as Liverpool's goalkeeper.
With Arsenal, where he was a replacement for the legendary David Simeone, he won the Premier League in 1998, and also has an FA Cup and Community Shield trophy, while with Juve he became the champion of Italy in 2012.
